Setting up web services

Summary

Moblin has been designed to help you keep up to date with your internet social life. A core element of this is the incorporation of popular social network services like Twitter and Last.fm.

The very first time you launch Moblin on your netbook you are prompted to add your web services so that you can receive your friends’ feeds from popular social network services like Twitter and Last.fm. To get started simply click on the prompt on the far right, as shown below.

Myzone

When you click on the prompt, the Web Services settings application will launch.

1. Expand the service(s) you have accounts for
2. Enter your account details
3. When you are done, click on the close button in the top right hand corner
4. Return to the myzone via the Toolbar (NB// the feeds my take a while to populate so please be patient)
5. Or visit the Status panel to update your Twitter feed (again please be patient, this may not appear instantly depending on your network connection traffic)

Step 1: Web Services Settings application. Enter account details into the fields provided

Step 2: Return to the myzone to view your friends feeds

Step 5: Visit the Status panel to see your latest post & update if you so desire.

If at any point you would like to update your web services settings, you can launch the application from the applications panel under settings category.
