I have experienced the same problem on my Aspire. I can successfully connect to my WPA2 encrypted network (with hidden SSID), but after a cold start, the profile is no longer available from connman. I can't for the life of me find the location of the profile(s) in the file system. Once you have configured the profile, it should be automatically saved. Having to manually set up my wireless network connection each time i boot is frustrating.
i would like to get hold of a copy of moblin that i can download and run on a intel core duo processor. The mother board is also by intel. could someone lead the way?

Hi mardrosteen! I have an AAOne with same specs as yours. Have just replaced the Linpus OS with Moblin. Reason for replacement: I managed to FUBAR my OS trying to install the latest version on flash player. In Linpus, you have to go into the terminal to update or install applications, which isn't a good idea if you don't know what you are doing. Thankfully, this isn't going to be a problem with Moblin - Moblin Garage looks simple enough even for me to follow. Anyway, in answer to your question, has your netbook enough resources to run Moblin - absolutely! After installation, I checked the disk usage, and Moblin seems to take up less space on the SSD than Linpus did. And installation - easy peasy, even for me! Best of luck, whatever you decide.
I just installed Moblin 2.1 on a Acer Aspire One. Wifi...everything else works great. Wifi connected without incident. However, the browser will not connect to the web. There isn't a proxy to deal with...it is just connecting through my wireless router directly onto the net.
I can open a terminal and ping www.google.com, and others. So I know I can get to the outside.
I really felt so stupid I was laughing all afternoon...
I am a happy owner of a vodafone rigged dell mini 9 with ericsson 3g module. Excelent choice in my opinion as it also incorporates an A-GPS module. I also bought a 32GB ssd from runcore to be able to handle all my apps without worries.
Today, I decided to give moblin a try as it realy seems to be fast - something I need for my everyday network equipment tweeking. So I removed the runcore ssd and put the original 8GB card in to install moblin on.
The first boot was so disappointing... no bluetooth, no wifi :( 3g was mysteriously working just fine). I knew I had to manualy install the broadcom drivers from slaine so I did it... still no wifi and bluetooth... I also spent 2 ~3 hours trying to compile them my self... hopeless... wifi showed up but no signal ???
Moblin - my @ss I said, and put the 32gb runcore (with windows xp on) back in. Then, the mystery was revealed: when windows were last running, I had disabled both wifi and bluetooth from dell's tool to save battery... as soon as I turned them on and booted to moblin again everything worked fine: my bluetooth mouse and my nokia were easily paired and my home wifi appeared in the list :)
Thank you Matthias. I nominate you as a Moblin All-Star. I was able to get my audio and video files moved over on my netbook and have them play with the gstreamer codecs in your package.

The mobliin core alpha is working well in Sony Vayo. Very fast startup, LAN working fine.
Webcam doesn't work.

installed fine on Toshiba NB205-210... different look and feel than UNR, Fedora, etc... I'll give it a try for a while.
seems to take longer to boot than UNR, didnt detect wireless network adapater after first boot ( reboot fixed it )
Could you get this issue solved? I am also facing the same issue.
Adding /usr/sbin to the path did the trick for me. Thank you sir!
